Indonesia top travel agents and prominent hotels from all over Southeast Asia were united at MGConnect 2023. Hotel participants came from across South East Asia including Indonesia, Brunei, Malaysia, Maldives, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand & Vietnam. Front line travel buyer participants came from Indonesia’s leading travel agents from Jakarta, Bandung, Medan, Surabaya, Central Java, Balikpapan, and Batam. This full day event was held at Aston Kartika Grogol, 11 January 2023.
This year's MG Connect began with a conference from industry leaders that started with MG Group President Director, Brett Henry sharing the MG's story and its hospitality marketplace model. He was followed by Mr Budi Tirtawisata from the GIPI ( Gabungan Industri Pariwisata Indonesia ) & PHRI ( Perhimpunan Hotel & Restaurant Indonesia ) association who talked about the new wave of tourism and hospitality. There was also a hospitality panel discussion moderated by Brett Henry with participation from Mr John Flood (CEO of Archipelago International).
After the conference, MGConnect continued as an expo where buyers and sellers engaged for education and development of new business opportunities. The event continued into the evening with a cocktail networking reception, dinner and entertainment from Jakarta top performers.
