Southeast Asia Tops Aussie Travel Charts in 2025 - MG Helps Agents Capture the Demand

Southeast Asia has emerged as the top international destination for Australian travellers in 2025, and MG is helping local travel agents keep pace with that demand.


In the first half of the year, nearly 4 million Australians travelled to Southeast Asia, a 42% increase year-on-year,  making the region the single largest share of outbound Australian travel. Key destinations include Bali, Bangkok, and Ho Chi Minh City. Indonesia alone welcomed 1.6 million Australians in 2024, and Vietnam has seen travel demand surge 54% in early 2025 compared to pre-COVID levels.


Since entering the Australian market in June, MG has seen agent registrations more than double month-on-month, with booking volumes rising by over 300%.
